On Sunday 21st of May Ryston Runners welcomed 3 big clubs from the South Region to the second Southern Athletics League match of the season. Competing against two clubs who won their first match Ryston athletes knew they were in for challenge, but thanks to some excellent performances, especially in the Male Throws and Female Middle Distance Events Ryston came away with joint first with Stevenage and North Herts Athletics Club.

Track and Field County Champs 2017

This weekend saw 19 Juniors and 10 Seniors take part in the Norfolk County Championships. There was medals and personal bests galore as well as 4 improvement to Ryston Club Records.

Southern Athletics League & GEAR 10km

The past weekend was a busy one for Ryston Runners. With the first Southern Athletics League of the season on Saturday followed by GEAR 10km on Sunday, the first of the set Age Grade Championship Races. One new Club Record and Plenty of Personal Bests Set this weekend

London Marathon and East Anglian League

This gone weekend was a busy weekend for Ryston Runners with the Track and Field team starting of their season at the East Anglian League match at Lynnsport, also group of our Road Runners took to the busy streets of London to take part in the Marathon.

Manchester Marathon, Lincoln 10km and Bungay

Action packed weekend for Ryston Runners. With PBs and Medals won at Lincoln and Bunday 10km, Manchester Marathon, as well a Ryston taking part in a 10km in Hawai. 
 

The Final Cross Country of the Season 2017

The Final Cross Country of the Season 2017

A further site inspection has been carried out this morning by the Race Director. The event and all races will go ahead as planned, albeit there will be some rerouting due to fallen trees. The diversions will make all races of a similar length and gradient to the originals.

Junior Award Evening 2016 & Keith Ward

On Monday 30th of January Ryston Runners celebrated the Achievements of the Junior Athletes during 2016 on the Track, Cross Country and Sportshall.

In 2016 we had multiple athletes represent Norfolk, including English Schools, multiple new club records set, and some major improvements on individual personal bests.

We also had a very good start to Track in Field in 2017 at the Keith Ward Norfolk Indoor Championships.

Hereward Relay, EMAC 5 Mile Champs, Sportshall + More

The weekend of the 26th and 27th of November was a very successful one for Ryston Runners. We had success at Hereward, coming away with the win, as well as likely for the first time ever have 3 teams in the top 20. Malcolm Tuff and Lisa Pyatt came away with wins at the EMAC 5 Mile Champs. These performance are coming just in time for members to be put forward for the Annual Club Awards with the nomination forms being circulated from next week.

There was also other Road, Walk and Junior Sportshall action happening at the weekend.

Medals at World Masters Events + Other Weekend Action

It has been a busy week for Ryston athletes young and old both in the UK Holland and in Australia

World Masters and Fenland 10 Miler

In Perth over the next few weeks Ryston has 3 athletes (Gaye Clarke, Cath Duhig and Pete Duhig) taking part in the World Master Athletics Track and Field Championships.
 
Also despite the clocks changing over the weekend a team of Ryston Runners didn’t need the extra hour in bed to ensure that they enjoyed 13 individual personal bests (PB’s) along with a haul of medals at the Fenland 10 mile road running race at the weekend.
