The East Anglian League (EAL) is a Sunday Track and Field le ague for all junior and senior members. Athletes compete in their own age- group\, with each age-group scored separately as a 'mini-league'. These to tals are then aggregated to give an overall match result.
\nEAL matc hes currently commence at 11.15am and aim to finish at around 5.30pm. Ther e are eight age-groups in each match. Under 11 Boys and Girls (this is for fun only and is not a scoring age-group)\, Under 13 Girls\, Under 13 Boys \, Under 15 Girls\, Under 15 Boys\, Under 17 Men\, Senior Women and Senior Men (Under 17 Women compete with the Seniors but there are special hurdle s and 300m races for them. Under 20 Women and men and Masters athletes com pete as Seniors).
\nEach club can enter two scoring athletes into ea ch event in an age-group (except a small number of events which are limite d to one per club). Non-scoring athletes are also permitted in most events \, and these provide the opportunity for new athletes to get a registered performance (if scoring places are filled)\, or for athletes who are alrea dy in a scoring event\, to do additional events.  \;
\nThere are a number of league matches with the top 8 clubs in each age group progres sing to the final which takes place in September each year.
