JOIN THE CLUB

For 2020 we have implemented a new online membership portal. For this year only any renewing members should apply for membership as if they weren't already a member, i.e. a new membership. Thank you for your understanding.
Before you Join for the first time - Juniors

Want to know more about our offering first? See the Junior Prospectus.

Due to high demand we have an introductory process in place with our junior athletes, therefore new juniors should not just turn up on the night of a session.

If your child is interested in training and competing with Ryston Runners AC we offer a free taster session on the dates below (due to our training structure and coach availability we cannot accommodate other dates). Please email our membership secretary (ryston.membership@icloud.com) in the first instance with your child's name and date of birth (minimum is school year 4) to book a place.

Induction Evening dates:

  • 13th January 2020
  • 24th February 2020
  • 20th April 2020
  • 1st June 2020
  • 27th July 2020
  • 7th September 2020
  • 2nd November 2020

Once the process above has been completed and your child has attended more than a few sessions we'd love for them to become part of the club. To do so, please follow the link to access the online membership portal.

What does EA affiliation mean?

England Athletics (EA) are the governing body for our sport in England. Eligibility to enter certain competitions/events/races as a club or individual depends on affiliation (club) and registration (individual) status.

Registered members of affiliated clubs also gain access to advantages including:

  • Dedicated club welfare support, including safeguarding
  • Eligibility to compete in licensed events
  • Reduced entry for the majority of races

  • Access to Coach development opportunities, including specialist conferences and technical workshops to support your coaches and athletes
  • ebulletins providing key information on the sport and opportunities available
