Return to Club Night Training - PLEASE READ

Our club training sessions are back. We have been working hard to carefully put together new guidelines to ensure we provide a safe environment for all. We have set out new measures below that will be in place to ensure you feel confident and safe ahead of your return. 

Please read through the below guidelines as there are steps you need to take before you return. 

Junior Sessions 

  • All athletes will need to book a place at training online. You won't be able to just turn up on the night to train. The link to book your place is - https://bookwhen.com/rystonrunners
  • The booking form will go live each Thursday to book a place sjhowing which groups are available to train in the following Monday.
  • No cash payments will be accepted on the night. If choosing not to pay via the booking system, then alternative arrangements can be made.
  • Junior sessions will run from 6.15-7.05pm to allow groups to exit one by one, maintaining social distancing from other groups. 
  • 7.15-7.30pm will be clean up time between junior and senior sessions.  This allows coaches to clean down any equipment which has been used. 
  •  Anyone who wishes to cancel their place can do so, up to the Saturday before training, and transfer to another week.  Cancellations on Sunday or Monday will forfeit their fee.
  • At training sessions, coaches will meet athletes in the area outside the track and before they enter the door to the barn, check them off on the register, then tell them which coach they will be working with and direct them inside to meet their coach. The groups will be 1 coach to 5 athletes.
  • Parents/carers will not be permitted inside the barn or the track area
  • Athletes will be asked to bring minimal belongings; a water bottle and hand sanitiser will be necessary for them to train. Hand sanitiser should be used on arrival and before departure and at any other time deemed necessary by the coach in charge of the group.
  • A one-way system will operate; access to training will be in via the barn and exit will be out via the gate on the track. Parents will need to drop off and collect from outside the track.
  • Athletes needing to use the toilet will need to go out of the gate and in through the door then back through the barn to re-join training. 
  • Groups will have set spaces on the track to ensure they do not have contact with each other and social distancing is in place.  

Senior Session - Monday

  • All athletes will need to book a place at training online. You won't be able to just turn up on the night to train. The link to book your place is https://bookwhen.com/rystonrunners
  • Group choices will be based on 5k times and distributed to give all abilities the chance to book a space
  • As of Monday 7th September, warm up will be included in the session. The session starting at 7:30pm.
  • You will be checked off the list on arrival and told which coach to join.
  • Athletes will be asked to bring minimal belongings; a water bottle and hand sanitiser is advised.
  • A one-way system will operate; access to training will be in via the barn and exit will be out via the gate on the track. 
  • Groups will have set start places on the track to ensure groups do not cross over.  Overtaking is allowed when running (!)

Senior Session - Thursday

  • All athletes will need to book a place at training online. You won't be able to just turn up on the night to train. The link to book your place is https://bookwhen.com/rystonrunners
  • Attendees should meet outside the Federation Club (Memorial Park Pavilion) - toilet facility will be available but under strict entry/cleaning protocol
  • Attendees should bring minimal belongings
  • Attendees will be allocated to a group
  • Groups will adhere to government guidelines with respect to social distancing
  • Groups will likely perform the same session on the same course, but be staggered
